About Us

This site was funded by Moodia, a web agency in London that is committed to helping us make positive green choices.

The domain name was bought by Tony who's a great guy.

Moodia and the Green Dilemma Website

Moodia is an Internet Solutions company based in London that has strong views about green issues. It feels that a major factor in improving the grave climate change situation that faces all of us on this small planet is public awareness. For this reason, Moodia has built the Green Dilemma website and funds its ongoing marketing. Most people care about what happens to each other and their environment and would willingly do more if they could unravel the complexities of best green practice. Moodia supports Green Dilemma in their efforts to raise awareness of the issues and to encourage an increase in behavioural improvements.

Green Dilemma asks lots of questions, but it doesn’t have the answers.

There are many people around the world who are much better equipped to provide answers than us. We simply want to provide a forum and stimulate a debate to get closer to the bottom of these complex puzzles. Once we have sufficient responses we hope we can distil them into simple to follow conclusions of the forum: “If you use product x more than 10 times per year, you would be wise to change to product y which has much lower impact. Better still, consider living without either!”

We hope that companies as well as individuals will reduce their environmental impact by taking on board lessons learned at Green Dilemma.

We share many of the views of Jeffrey Sachs. We are delighted that he has been invited to present this year’s Reith Lectures with a 6 lecture series starting with “Bursting at the Seams”. In a key part of Jeffrey’s introduction he states “Our challenge, our generation's unique challenge, is learning to live peacefully and sustainably in an extraordinarily crowded world. Our planet is crowded to an unprecedented degree. It is bursting at the seams.” Jeffrey is a passionate and eloquent speaker who has fascinating and thought-provoking insights. You can hear his lectures on the Radio 4 website. We strongly encourage you to hear what he has to say. We hope you find time to read more on our website and maybe have something you can contribute.

The more we push the debate, the more awareness we create and the bigger the impact we will have.

The Campaign for Alternatives

Education is vitally important and so is provision of alternatives. It’s not very good if everyone knows they should recycle their drink can if they’re only provided with a general waste bin. Streets should have water fountains to reduce the need for bottled water. Public transport should be unbeatable in both service and price.

We can only do one thing at a time, but we expect “The Campaign for Alternatives” to be our next charge!
